This is a nice back up plan, although it's not the perfect solution. If the pre-recorded voice track for the animatronics falls out of sync, a puppeteer is standing by to do it "live". The puppeteer could also move Goro's mouth at the same time. The one drawback to this plan is human error. The synchronization will not be as perfect as it would be in a pre-programmed system.
